Originally from middle Georgia, Dr. Travis Watson knew he wanted to be a dentist when he was just a boy. He worked hard to achieve his dream, and today he is dedicated to treating patients to the best of his ability while building long-term relationships.

Dr. Watson received his Bachelor of Science in microbiology from the University of Georgia and graduated from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry. He was then accepted into one of the top hospital-based residencies in the country at the University of Alabama-Birmingham.

It was during his residency that Dr. Watson not only developed his skills in comprehensive dentistry but also received his surgical training in dental implants. He had always enjoyed surgery, even in dental school. His residency allowed him to nourish his passion for surgery along with his new interest in dental implants.

He received the 2003 Most Outstanding Resident award and became proficient in implant surgery, oral surgery with IV sedation, oral medicine, and complex treatment planning. Dr. Watson has a strong background in prosthetics (tooth replacement). To date he has completed hundreds of hours of training in restorative dentistry, making him stand out as an expert in planning implant surgeries. In his 14 years of dental implant experience, he has placed and restored several hundred implants.

Over his many years of dental practice, Dr. Watson has compiled more than 2,000 hours of continuing education, including major stints at the world-renowned Dawson Academy in Marietta, FL, the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation (DOCS), Phelan Dental Training, and the Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, FL. He has completed a number of continuums with various teaching centers, with several through the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID).

In 2009, Dr. Watson received a fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), one of the youngest dentists in the state of Georgia to do so. In 2010, he was selected among 45 other individuals to participate in Leadership Cobb, a great honor and experience for leaders in the community. He served as President of the Georgia Academy of General Dentistry in 2013. In 2014, Dr. Watson was one of the few dentists recognized in Atlanta Magazine as a 5 Star Dentist. Dr. Watson was recently appointed to the Georgia Dental Peer Review Board, which means that he is a professional witness in most litigation cases in Georgia where there has been sub-standard care. This means that he is a role model for a high level of ethical treatment and care for patients. Over the last 3 years, 

Originally from Marietta and a graduate of McEachern High School, Dr. Cameron Baker-Watson graduated from UGA and earned her Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in 2002.

She underwent training in sedation dentistry through the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation in 2004. She has since continued her education in the area of orthodontics through the American Orthodontic Society and the Aligntech Institute, and in the area of endodontics through the Essential Dental Training Center in New York City. Listed as one of the 20 rising stars under 40 by Cobb Life Magazine, she was saluted as one of the best young professionals in Cobb County.

Dr. Cameron specializes in Invisalign, pediatrics, facial rejuvenation, and restorative dentistry. She is well known in west Cobb for her expertise in Botox and dermal fillers, and she has hundreds of loyal patients who rely on her for their esthetic maintenance. 

Together, Dr. Cameron and Dr. Travis are a dedicated and passionate team in both their Marietta, GA dentist office and especially in their daily family life. They are active members of the Marietta First United Methodist Church and for more than 15 years have participated in the Cobb County Child Assist Program, which offers complimentary dental services to children in need. They enjoy volunteering their time with organizations like MUST Ministries, the Center for Children & Young Adults of Cobb County (CCYA), and the Good Samaritan Health Center.

Dr. Bowersox grew up in the Atlanta area and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in both biology and psychology. Following her undergraduate degree, she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Virginia Commonwealth University at the Medical College of Virginia. During her dental training, she was a teaching assistant in the department of general dentistry, receiving accolades in clinical excellence and patient management.

After dental school, Dr. Bowersox completed a two-year general practice residency at Georgia Regents University in Augusta, GA, a hospital-based advanced training program. The program was heavily focused on tooth extractions and dental implants. She began to appreciate how versatile implants are and how they can open up many options to patients with missing teeth. She became proficient in dental implant placement, IV conscious sedation, oral surgery, and complex case treatment.

During the second year of her residency, Dr. Bowersox filled the role of chief resident, allowing her to take on more advanced cases and see larger cases through to completion. She was also an instructor in the residency program’s maxi course, giving her the opportunity to teach general dentists the hands-on skills to place implants in their own private practices. Throughout her training and dental practice experience, she has placed and restored approximately 1,000 dental implants.

Dr. Bowersox now works as an assistant clinical instructor in the department of oral rehabilitation at Georgia Regents University. She earned her mastership with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and is pursuing her fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Bowersox was also recognized at the 2015 Thomas P. Hinman Annual Dental Meeting as an Outstanding Table Clinician.

Besides her skills with dental implants, Dr. Bowersox uses her vast experience in sedation dentistry to make even the most apprehensive patients feel comfortable and at ease, including the treatment of patients with special needs.

Dr. Skelton grew up in Alpharetta and attended Milton High School. He knew he wanted to be a dentist in his early high school career. Having a flexible schedule and being able to treat his patients needs in a customized and focused way were some of things that drew Dr. Skelton to dentistry.

Dr. Skelton attended the University of Georgia where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and later completed his dental education at the University of Louisville. He knew he wanted to be a dentist by the time he was a freshman in high school. Dr. Skelton graduated in the top 15 percent of his dental school class at Louisville and went on to complete a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the University of Texas at Houston. Since then, Dr. Skelton has taken a special interest in biomemetic dentistry including minimally invasive crowns and bonding protocols, as well as implant dentistry.

Dr. Skelton is looking forward to spending time with his family and investing in the community, which is why he chose to return to Atlanta. One of Dr. Skelton’s life goals is to be a responsible role model and point others in a direction where they can find personal success and happiness. He chose to work at Atlanta West Dentistry because of their attention to detail and investing in important dental technology. He looks forward to continuing to add to the family feel that they’ve worked so diligently to create.
