Don’t Let Time Run Out On Dental Benefits

Posted on September 6th, 2016

You have dental insurance through your employer, and that is an excellent benefit.

But only if you use it.

In many cases, dental insurance providers will cover preventive care. Having insurance can save you money on restorative and orthodontic treatments, too.

But only if you use it.

Many of your dental benefits don’t carry over from year to year, which is yet another reason to schedule a cleaning and examination at Atlanta West Dentistry before this year’s benefits expire.

You still have plenty of time to make an appointment. Just contact our dentist office if you live in Marietta, Smyrna, or anywhere nearby in our part of Georgia.

Our staff is always happy to help … but we can’t do that if you don’t come to see us.

New Patients Are Welcome

One of the things we love about what we do is getting to meet so many people. We love building relationships with our patients and their families.

But every relationship starts somewhere, which is why we look forward to continuing to meet new patients as well.

You may be new to our part of Georgia. In that case, we want to be among the first to welcome you to our community.

Or maybe, it’s been a few years since you last visited the dentist, and you realize you should get back for the sake of your oral health.

We want to make your first visit run as smoothly as we can. This is why we make our new patient forms available to download on our website. This way you can print them and fill them out at your convenience to save yourself some time on the day of your first cleaning.

Listening To You

It’s important to every member of our staff to make our patients feel as comfortable as they can be. This is why part of your initial visit will include listening to you about what you want from your dental care.

The overall goal — a healthy mouth — may be the same for anyone. Yet, how we help you accomplish that goal can vary from patient to patient.

Some patients can walk in, sit down in the dentist chair and let a hygienist get to work cleaning their teeth.

For other patients, it may not be that simple, and that’s OK, too. If you have dental anxiety, we have a variety of comfort options that can help you feel more relaxed.

We have incorporated technology and the latest techniques in our practice to improve your experience with us.

We also offer sedation dentistry for all our patients, and we will be happy to discuss our sedation options during your initial visit.

In fact, during your initial visit, we will conduct an examination to identify any problems and to determine if you may need more than basic cleaning.

We may postpone your cleaning until your second visit. Before we do anything, we want to develop a plan to give you the right treatment for you — whether that is a basic cleaning to prevent gum disease and tooth decay or a deep cleaning to treat either of those conditions.

Committed To You

Our dentists and every member of our staff want to make your dental experience as pleasant as it can be, whether this is your first visit or your 100th visit with us.

When you walk through the doors at Atlanta West Dentistry, you will notice that we have a spacious, soothing facility.

In our patient rooms, we have comfortable leather dental chairs, and we will be happy to provide you with a pillow or a blanket so you can feel cozy. We also provide warm towels and lip balm for your comfort as well.

To help you maintain your comfort, we have added tools like The Wand STA, which can be used to numb your tooth comfortable and reliably.

We also use technology to aid in diagnosing problems. We can make impressions digitally with our 3M True Definition Scan, and our digital X-ray machine allows us to see images faster while using a fraction of the radiation of older X-ray machines.
