Well, I'm so excited to join the team here at Atlanta West Dentistry. I think we're very special here. We're very different than a lot of dental offices, and that's primarily because of the staff. Everyone here has such a passion for dentistry and exactly what they do.
I really enjoy treating patients that are maybe more apprehensive to this treatment. I like to make you feel completely at ease, and we welcome you to our family here at Atlanta West.

After dental school, Dr. Bowersox completed a two-year General Practice Residency at Georgia Regents University in Augusta, GA. She became proficient in IV conscious sedation, oral surgery, dental implant placement, and complex case treatment. Dr. Bowersox uses her vast experience in sedation dentistry to make even the most apprehensive patients feel comfortable and at ease, including the treatment of special needs patients.Dr. Bowersox on the importance of continuing education
I went to high school here in the Atlanta area, and then I'm a huge Georgia Bulldogs fans. Go Dogs! Then I went to dental school at the Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth in Richmond, Virginia. Then I just finished residency the last two years at the Medical College in Georgia or Georgia Regents University now in Augusta, Georgia. I'm very happy to be back here in the Atlanta area. I truly have a passion for dentistry. I've put in a lot of time and a lot of school so that I can have proper training to treat everyone. I really enjoy the surgical side of dentistry. After dental school, I spent several years doing advanced training where I received proficiency in IV sedation, dental implants, and complex oral surgery procedures. I like to see patients that are maybe afraid to come to the dentist or that have had bad experiences in the past, and provide a wide variety of procedures all in our office.
Dr. Bowersox now works as an assistant clinical instructor in the Department of Oral Rehabilitation at Georgia Regents University. She has earned her Mastership with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and is pursuing her fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Bowersox was also recognized at the 2015 Thomas P. Hinman Annual Dental Meeting as an Outstanding Table Clinician.
Dr. Bowersox enjoys volunteering at various events, including the Georgia Mission of Mercy. She is also an active member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry.
When not in the office, Dr. Bowersox enjoys playing golf and tennis, spending time with her family and friends, and traveling to Athens to cheer on the Georgia “Bulldawgs.”
